Factory Furniture were approached to 'realise' a design concept for landscape architects Gillespies LLP. The project was composed of 3 elements - a pedestrian bridge, a feeder wall and seating.
The 'bridge' is a structure that provides disabled access to an area of raised decking and to a seating platform. The contemporary angular design of its surrounding walls combines function with a striking sculpted form. The feeder wall is a unit to house sevices for gas, electrical and water. The seating is a modular system based on the popular Boort design which in three sections provides over 100 metres of seating in FSC hardwood and stainless steel. The end panels feature a lime leaf etched design which is shot peened to reflect the site specific nature of the project.
